TCEB Situation Update<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Travel Advisory: COVID-19 virus on 17 March 2020<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Thailand imposes 3-tier screening of COVID-19 on ALL INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS<\/b><\/p>\n To strengthen the detection of COVID-19 and ensure safety, CAAT or Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand and the Disease Control Department have imposed COVID-19 disease control measures on 3 groups of flight origins according to the Ministry of Public Health Notification dated 16 March 2020.<\/p>\n Tier 1<\/b> – The Disease Infected Zones: China, Macau, Hong Kong, South Korea, Iran, and Italy<\/p>\n Tier 2<\/b> – Countries with ongoing local transmission: France, Spain, USA, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, UK, Germany, and Japan (specific cities: Hokkaido, Tokyo, Aichi, Wakayama, Chiba, Kyoto, Okinawa, Osaka, and Kanagawa)<\/p>\n Tier 3 <\/b>– Other origins<\/p>\n All passengers from Tier 1<\/b> flight origins are required to:<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Present Health Certificate*<\/b> and Health Insurance Document**<\/b> at the check-in counter. Passengers without such documents will not be permitted to board, and the boarding pass will not be issued.<\/p>\n * The certificate must be issued within 48 hours before flight time, certifying that the passenger is undetectable of COVID-19 and no sign of sickness has been found in the past 14 days. (This does not apply to airline crew)<\/p>\n **The insurance must be valid in Thailand with an amount of at least 100,000 USD that should cover all medical expenditure when travelling abroad. (This does not apply to airline crew and nationals of Thailand)<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Accurately and truthfully fill in the T8 form<\/b> issued under the Communicable Diseases Act B.E. 2558 (2015) and submit to the Communicable Diseases Officers at the control posts at international airports across Thailand. (This is imposed on both airline crew and passengers)<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Undergo entry screening and will be referred to hospital for treatment if found with a temperature equal to or higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius and have one of these symptoms: cough, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath. All passengers without detected symptoms will be quarantined for 14 days at designated hotels, whereas Thai residents will be obliged to implement self quarantine at their own residence.<\/p>\n All passengers from Tier 2<\/b> flight origins are required to:<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Accurately and truthfully fill in the T8 form<\/b> issued under the Communicable Diseases Act B.E. 2558 (2015) and submit to the Communicable Diseases Officers at the control posts at international airports across Thailand. (This is imposed on both airline crew and passengers)<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Undergo entry screening and will be referred to hospital for treatment if found with a temperature equal to or higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius and have one of these symptoms: cough, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath. All passengers without detected symptoms are recommended to take self-monitoring for 14 days at their own residence if they are Thailand nationals. In case of foreigners, they are recommended to take self-monitoring at their registered hotel\/accommodation. The location must match with the information given in the required channel of communication and they need permission from the officers for going out of their residence\/hotel when deemed necessary.<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Report to officials daily through selected channels. In case of any respiratory symptoms, passengers must report within 3 hours.<\/p>\n All passengers from Tier 3<\/b> flight origins are required to:<\/p>\n \t<\/span>\u2022\t<\/span>Undergo entry screening for these symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath.
