Tightly Controlled Areas, Regulations and Tight Control Measures<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

To establish a set of measures necessary to curb the new infection of COVID-19, especially in tightly controlled areas where strict measures is a must, General Prayut Chan-ocha, the Prime Minister, by virtue of Article 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration, B.E, 2548 (2005), No. 17 and Article 11 of the State Administration Act B.E. 2534 (1991), issued regulations for all public agencies to execute as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Tightening of disease control measures<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The concerned authorities shall strictly enforce disease control measures among the public including keeping social distance, wearing face or surgical mask, hand washing, temperature checking, using the specified application and agreeing to self-quarantine for the prescribed period. Towards this end, the public are encouraged to use both \u201cMor Chana\u201d and \u201cThai Chana\u201d applications. <\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Extreme measures exercised in maximum control area<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The authorities shall oversee and control land transport, and public use of vehicles for entering and exiting maximum and strictly controlled areas of Chantaburi, Chonburi, Trat, Rayong and Samut Sakhon provinces<\/span>. Checkpoint must be set up for strict screening. Residents in such areas are encouraged to use \u201cMor Chana\u201d application. Any persons wishing to exit the area must state his\/her reason, display his\/her identity card or other forms of such card together with the verification documents agreed by the authorities. The exception is made for the persons specified in the criteria of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) and the Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Suppression and punishment of wrongdoer causing infection<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The public are encouraged to inform the Prime Minister via the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) at the Government House if they find any authorities or any persons involved in the trafficking of foreign workers without undergoing disease screening procedures and<\/p>\n

        quarantine, or in case they experience the authorities showing negligence, refraining from duties or colluding in gambling den in any areas.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Punishment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The violator of the regulations as issued in accordance with the Article 9 of the Emergency Decree B.E. 2548 is subject to up to 2-year-imprisonent or up to 40,000 baht fine or both.<\/p>\n

          The infected persons intending to conceal their travel timeline or inform the authorities of wrong information, which causes difficulties in the investigation and control of the disease, can be deemed violating the orders of disease control authorities. He\/she can be held guilty according to the Communicable Disease Act B.E. 2558<\/p>\n
