MUST SEE : Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park

MICE travellers will delight in taking the electric tram up to the top of Khao Wang and learning all about the local history through the architecture at Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park. The buildings feature both neo-classical Western features, combined with many Chinese architectural styles. Not-to-be-missed highlights in the park include Phra That Jom Phetch, Wat Mahasanaram, Wat Phra Kaeo Noi, Santhakarn Sathan Throne Hall, Phra Nakhon Khiri National Museum, Wetchayan Wichien Prasat Throne Hall, Ratchathammasapa Throne Hall, Chatchawan Wiangchai Tower, as well as the view of Phetchaburi from the hilltop observation point.

There are interesting street arts spots for taking photos in the riverside market community which tells the stories of the Thai-Chinese communities who have lived in the area since the old days and stop for local style lunch in the old town with interesting menus such as khanom jeen & tod mun (fermented rice noodles and fish cakes), and khao chae (rice soaked in cool jasmine water with several side dishes) a famous royal Thai dish.

Suan Tarn Lung Thanom is a toddy palm plantation where MICE travellers can learn about how the toddy palms are grown and processed into various products including the traditional climbing of the trees to harvest and how they are made into various forms of sweets and desserts such as toddy palm water, toddy palm sugar, steamed toddy palm cakes and tea.
